Last weekend, OSSC athletes traveled to snowy London, ON for two days of competition at the Lisa Alexander Figure meet.  For many of our youngest athletes this was a new experience.  All of us at OSSC are so proud of our athletes results.  In the 8 and Under category, sisters Sarah and Roxanna Khosravi placed 6th and 10th respectively at their first meet!  Evelyn Young, a veteran OSSC athlete brought home a bronze medal in 10 & Under  with a fabulous 3rd place result – go Ev!  She wasn’t alone in reaching new heights in 10U, Kirstyn MacGillvray  placed 36, and in their fist ever meet, Andrea Corrales-Malaga placed 41st along side Katherine Cullen at 53 – great work ladies!  Click here for pictures of our amazing provincial athletes!

Rachel’s twin sister, Jeanine Enns is  a first time Provincial competitor.  We are all so proud of Jeanine’s amazing performance.  Jeanine brought home GOLD in AWD -P!

Jeanine brings home Gold!

This season, OSSC had two team’s competing in the National 13-15 FINA group.  Coach Kelly’s seasoned Gold Team and new to national figures was Coach Amy’s Black team.  Kelly’s athletes had a fantastic meet with Sachel Robarts placing 4, Cossette LeBlanc in 5th and Lucia Scartuchio in 6th!  Aerin England placed 33 followed closely by Petra Regini at 42.   Natalie MacMillian was 50th followed closely by Shona Taylor at 58th, Kari Stamatiou at 61st.  At this level of competition rankings are so close they are counted in thousands of a point!  Vanessa Mitchell, competing in National figures for the first time placed 76 closely followed by teammate Sabrina Lopresti, also new to National, at 89th!

Coach Amy Caskey-Bush’s Black Team made their entry into National competition at this meet.  Our youngest national athletes had a great time and are delighted with their results.  Nora Mossman was 86th, Mila Masic was 88th, Hannah van Driel was 92nd and  Clair Murphy was 97th.  Black Team members  Alisa Gamayunova  at 98th and Robyn Wong placed 99th in their very first meet!
