OSSC novice swimmers had great success at the figure meet at Guelph yesterday. In Age 7 Arianna placed 8th. In Age 8 Jasmine 6th, Sarah 9th, Alessia 14th, Alexia 16th, Michal 22nd. Special mention to Sarah, Jasmine and Alessia for getting perfect 10s in splits!! In Age 9 Pollina placed 4th, Isabella 6th, Lauren 14th, Mykala 15th, Charlotte 19th, Alexa 20th, Leila 23rd. In Age 10 Regan placed 4th, Emily 9th, Sydney 15th. In Age 11 Margeaux placed 8th, Stephanie 12th, Michelle B 13th, Genevieve 14th, Zoe 23rd, Sade 32nd, Michelle M 37th, Brenna 38th. In age 12 Sarah placed 9th, Sophie 12th. In age 14 Kiara placed 2nd. Well done ladies!!

Winter 2013 Recreational Synchro Registration Now Open

Olympium Synchro’s Intro to Syncro classes at the Etobicoke Olympium and the Keele Street pool are now accepting registration for the Winter session. The classes will commence the week of January 7, 2013. Space is limited. Kids In Sync is a unique program designed for young swimmers interested in learning about the exciting sport of Synchronized Swimming. To register click here .

Participants are introduced to the fundamental sculls, basic figures and various routine components of early synchronized swimming, in addition to other disciplines aimed at improving strength, coordination and flexibility.

OSSC Success at Novice Figure Meet

A great day at the Novice meet at Newmarket for Olympium Synchro. Some highlights, 1st in 6 yr old figures Arianna!, 2, 5, 7 in 8 yr figures Jasmine, Lauren, Sarah; 2, 3 in 9 year figures Mei, Isabella; 4th in 10 yr figures Regan. Kiara and Ceilidh were 1st and 2nd in 13-19 intermediate figures. In 11 yr figures Stephanie was 4th and Genevieve was 6th. Sarah and Jasmine rocked their split testing both getting gold standard and many of our swimmers received silver or bronze. Congrats everyone on an amazing meet! Your coaches are very proud! Photos are in the Novice November Meet album and full results will be posted on Synchro Ontario.

Thank you for considering Olympium Synchro for your daughters pursuit of synchronised swimming. All our Fall Intro to Synchro programs are full and our Novice 2012/2013 groups are also full. We will have new Intro classes starting in January 2013 so please come back and check our website in December for updated information.

Intro to Synchro and Novice at Olympium location start postponed

The pool at the Olympium has been undergoing maintenance since August and was to reopen on September 17th. The maintenance on the pool has been extended and will not be available next week and is now scheduled to reopen September 24th. If you are registered for Novice or Intro to Synchro at the Olympium please check your email for further information.

OSSC Novice swimmers success at Routine Meet on Saturday May 12

On Saturday May 12th our Novice teams travelled to Oshawa to compete in the Routine Recreational Meet. OSSC teams did a great job, showing off team spirit and spreading lots of excitement and smiles. Coaches felt that the teams had their best swims of the season, and were completely amazing for new competitors to synchro! This in fact was the KIS group’s very first synchro competition! The girls handled themselves extraordinarily well, and there was lots of positive energy to be found! Parents were great supporters throughout the season, and did a great job on gelling the hair and pieces. OSSC hopes that everyone enjoyed their experience with synchro this year and plan to be back next season!

Online registration for our Spring Kids in Sync recreation session is now open. You can also register in person for Keele programs at the Keele pool on Tuesday March 20th and Thursday March 22nd from 6pm.
