Amy Bush (née Caskey) is a NCCP Level 3 Coach, and has been coaching for twelve years.

Amy began her synchro career at the age of 5 in Peterborough, Ontario with the Kawartha-Trent Synchro Club. She moved to OSSC in 1994, and was a member of the club until 2004. In 1995, Amy was named to Canada’s Junior National Team where her team won Gold at the Junior World Championships. Her greatest success with OSSC was as a member of the Senior team that won the team championship at Canadian Nationals in 1998.  She continued to meet with great success as a club athlete, as a member of the National B Team (1998-2000) and the National A Team/Centre of Excellence (2000-2003). Some of her victories include a Bronze medal at the World Aquatic Championships in 2001, a Gold medal at the German Open in 2003, and a Silver medal at the Pan American Games in 2003.

In 2004, Amy began coaching Tier 6 and 7 (13-15 and Junior) at Optima Synchro alongside Head Coach Elena Podolsky, where she quickly earned a reputation as a kind and fair coach with great technical and creative abilities. On an International level, Amy coached the Venezuelan National Team (2005-2006) in preparation for the South American Games in Columbia. In 2007 and 2009, she ran a synchro camp in Hampshire, England.  Amy was the Apprentice Coach for the 2007 Canada Winter Games held in the Yukon.  Amy was the Head Coach of the Team Ontario Junior Team in 2008 and 2009.

At the volunteer level, Amy served as the Athlete’s Representative on the Synchro Swim Ontario’s Board of Director’s from 2004 to 2012.

In June 2015, for her outstanding athletic achievements in the sport, Amy was inducted into the Peterborough and District Sports Hall of Fame as one of six new inductees for 2015, and the second youngest ever to be inducted.
