Competitive Programs

Our Competitive program focuses on developing a well-rounded athlete. All competitive teams train three times per week – twice during the week, and one weekend day.  Our 10 & Under and 12 & Under programs are ideally suited for those athletes who have come through our Recreational and/or Pre-Competitive programs and are eager to start competing at the Provincial level within Ontario. Flexibility, ballet, and speed swimming are all part of regular training, in addition to training fundamental synchro skills, figure development and training a routine.

We aim to give holidays off to provide balance for families, however this is determined by the competitive schedule.  All competitions will be posted in your TeamSnap calendars as we get the information. We ask that you look over the entire yearly calendar when you receive it so that you are informed.

WHEN REGISTERING, PLEASE NOTE:

Early Bird registration will open on June 1st, 2020 for all current club members and close on June 20th, 2020. Due to Covid-19, we are splitting the registration fee – $150 (of the $275 fee) will be due at the time of registration, and the remainder will be billed via TeamSnap invoice once we are back to training in the fall.

New this year, there is an age parameter in place to ensure that athletes register in their correct category. It is important that you give your athlete’s correct date of birth when starting the registration form. We aim to have “pure” teams that are true to the age group. If we need to move an athlete, we will work with the family to ensure a smooth transition.

Competitive Junior Program (born 2003, 2004, 2005):

For the 2020-2021 season, we are considering offering a Junior program. Any athlete interested is asked to contact Kerri at coachkerri@bell.net as soon as possible.

This program will focus on the development and training of a Technical Team. There are no figures in Junior as they are replaced with technical elements within a routine. Athletes will train 3x/week, following the same schedule as the 13-15 team.

Please note: This program will only run if we have the numbers. If we cannot run the program due to low numbers, we will refund 100% of the registration fee. If we cannot run the Junior program and an athlete wishes to be moved back in to 13-15, we will make every possible effort to find a place for them.

Athletes With Disability (AWD)

This program is designed to meet the individual needs of our AWD athletes. Athletes will be integrated with one of our other teams for training and will develop a solo or duet. Placement is based on synchro experience and skill development.
